The Imago Dei Way, in conjunction with psychomoralitics, presents not only the antidote to the very ills promulgated by the failed mental health profession, but stands in formal opposition to the monstrous mental health system which has gained complete control over that profession.
The mental health profession long ago was severed from a sound philosophical, anthropological, and psychological foundation. It thus underwent various deviant developments that have resulted in treatments that are usually ineffectual, most often harmful, and even deadly (see Psychomoralitics, Chapter II). In addition to this grave conceptual deviation, the mental health profession has been completely taken over by the mental health system: an unsavory union of the State, State sponsored national professional associations (APAx2), and the insurance and pharmaceutical industrial complexes. This ungodly complex has resulted in governmental licensed practitioners (and thus patients as well) being under the complete control of this State/Professional/Insurance/Pharmaceutical cabal. The totalitarian control of the mental health profession has increasingly resulted in grave human rights violations, including, but not limited to, the complete destruction of any confidentiality between a practitioner and his patients.
Not only has the mental health profession become enslaved tothe State, but it has become an actual agent of enslavement for the State. In effect, the discipline of psychology and the aligned mental health disciplines have become breakers of minds and hearts, very bullies for the State, and no longer champion the freeing of the human spirit. The State through the mental health profession enslaves patients as victims and practitioners as minions. Indeed, the enslavement of the discipline of psychology and the aligned mental health professions is key to the totalitarian State's accelerating growth to evermore monstrous proportions.
The psychological profession is the prime example of this "selling out" to the State. From the local apparatchik State Boards of Psychological Examiners to the national American Psychological Association (APA), brute coercion is the weapon the profession of psychology wields. Indeed, emblematically it has come to light that the APA has been a clandestine and zealous purveyor of nothing less than torture for the immoral covert operations of the United States government.* Assuredly, the APA has been involved as well in other even more dastardly deeds yet uncovered.
The Imago Dei Way especially repudiates in toto the philosophy, ethoses, and goals of the American Psychological Association (APA) which is the leading purveyor of sexual perversity* and antiChristic social reconstruction. The Imago Dei Way adhere instead to the timeless moral truths of natural law and Christian charity, moral truths that are unacceptable to the APA and its State enablers.
Finally, the Imago Dei Way does not espouse the use of psychotropics for the masking of symptomatic mental disorder. Psychotropic are used for everything from substitutes for child discipline, to chemical straitjackets, to court ordered punishments. Psychotropics are dangerous both physically, psychologically, morally, and spiritually and have a caustic effect therein on those that take them.** Often even more so than many non-prescriptive drug use or other pain numbing addictions, use of prescribed psychotropic medications impede the full psychomoral efficacy of the Imago Dei Way. Thus during the Imago Dei process therapants are encouraged to work with their physicians to gradual weaning off psychotropic medications.
