Hello Classmates,
This is Therese.
At the suggestion of Dr. Dilsaver I enrolled in the class and am happy to be studying with you. To gain personal well being so as to help family and friends do the same is my reason for undertaking this coursework.
I am from Chicago and have lived here all of my life. In 1977 I became a flight attendant and two weeks ago, retired. My favorite layover city was London because our hotel was a brisk 10 minute walk from the Brompton Oratory, where my Catholic soul was safe. As a young woman I used to wonder “Why isn’t this Church packed? The preaching is out of this world.” I knew when I was hearing the Truth and it excited me very much. I owe much to the holy priests of the Oratory if Saint Philip Neri.
My husband died three years ago. When we married , he was a widower and had four children. Together we had a fifth. Having raised five children I now I strive to live a simple quiet life of prayer, penance and study, and to respond with true Christian femininity when summoned to the active life by the responsibilities of family and friendship.
My email address is tperschke@comcast.net
